4 days / 3 nights – from CARACAS (MAIQUETÍA)

day 1:  ARRIVAL TO CANAIMA, EXCURSION TO THE CANAIMA LAGOON

We will arrive at the Canaima airport where we will be welcomed by local guides, who will transfer us to the lodge where we will have lunch. Then we will begin our tour of the spectacular "Laguna de Canaima", visiting the waterfalls "Ucaima", "La Golondrina", "Wadaima" and "El Hacha". We will hike for approximately 25 minutes until we reach the waterfall "El Sapo" (waterfall of more than 120 meters wide and 40 meters high), which we will cross from one end to the other, walking through a tunnel formed by a wall of rock and water, which has a considerable size and volume and will make us live a unique experience (swimsuit required because we will get wet when passing through the natural tunnel). We will have a spectacular view of the Tepuyes and surrounding landscapes. At 17:30 we will return to the lodge, where we will have dinner and spend the night in our comfortable rooms..

day 2: EXCURSION TO THE BASE OF THE ANGEL FALLS – ISLA RATOn  CAMP

On this day the adventure begins at "Puerto Ucaima", where we will take the motor boat and start our navigation through the "Rio Carrao" and "Rio Churun" towards the "Angel Falls". The trip can last approximately 4 hours, this route will take us into the "Devil's Canyon", a real adventure! Until we arrive to the "Isla Ratón", located in front of the Angel Falls. From the camp we will have the afternoon to admire the highest waterfall in the world, with an incomparable view of the "Auyantepuy". At night, we will have dinner at the camp and sleep in hammocks (with basic services).

day 3: ISLA RATON – ANGEL FALLS VIEWPOINT – CANAIMA

This day we will have the opportunity to enjoy once again the majestic Angel Falls, and take wonderful pictures with the morning sun. The long awaited moment has arrived, we will begin our walk of approximately 1 hour (2.7 km) through the beautiful forest to reach the viewpoint with a unique view of Angel Falls, after taking pictures and contemplating the landscape, (if conditions permit) we can swim in a natural pool with an incredible view and the sound of the water falling to 979 meters high. Then we will return to the Isla Raton camp for lunch. Then we will start the trip down the "Rio Churun" back to Canaima, with arrival expected in the late afternoon. To end our wonderful experience in Canaima, we will visit the communal house, where we will enjoy typical dances and cultural activities of the "Pemón ethnic group", in addition to being able to buy handicrafts and souvenirs. Dinner at the lodge and overnight in comfortable rooms.

day 4:  FLIGHT CANAIMA - CARACAS

After breakfast at the posada, we will head to the airport, where we will take the flight back to Caracas and this great adventure will have come to an end.

• In the area of Canaima National Park it is difficult to get credit or debit card payment methods.

 

• The currency used in Canaima is the US dollar. Cash will be useful if you wish to hire additional services that have not been pre-contracted, such as additional excursions to our services, and purchases of handicrafts or souvenirs.
